Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal have raided fellow Premier League title contenders Leicester City this January.
The Gunners who sit above the Foxes by virtue of a superior goal difference have snapped up highly rated scout Ben Wrigglesworth from their rivals.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is looking to overhaul his player recruitment staff in order to discover more potential to keep in touch with European football giants and believes the acquisition of Wrigglesworth who impressed with the finds of Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante will go a long way.
The Daily Telegraph via the Metro reports that the Gunners latest signing who had been working as head of technical scouting with the Foxes will be officially announced in a matter of days. The paper lays further claim that Arsenal are set to return to the King Power Stadium to sign Wrigglesworth’s colleague and Leicester’s head of recruitment Steve Walsh – but he’s likely to cost over £1m to sign.
Wenger is keen to improve his scouting network to keep ahead in the game as he wants to be informed about potential superstars long before his rivals.
The Gunners head scout Steve Rowley will remain as the spearhead of the club’s scouting operation.
Rowley is actually overseeing the changes to the scouting department.
The Gunners who are very keen to bolster their domestic and global scouting network will also recruit new spies at youth and senior level to ensure talents do not slip through their net.
