Arsenal and Manchester United target Kieran Tierney has already signed a new long-term contract which keeps him at Celtic until summer of 2023.
Some Premier League clubs have been linked with interest in Tierney but the Scottish giants have announced he has committed himself to Parkhead.
According to The Sun, Tottenham sent scouts to watch Kieran Tierney in action last week and were going to make a move for him.
The 20-year-old defender is closing in on 100 first-team appearances for his boyhood club.
The Scotland defender, who is at Celtic from the age of seven, had previously signed a four-year deal in summer of 2015.
Tierney has only become stronger since the arrival of Brendan Rodgers, proving to be a reliable defender while at the same time providing a menacing presence in attack. The proof is in the pudding as well, with the 20-year-old left-back an impressive return as he has scored four goals and collected 16 assists in 61 matches since the start of the 2016-17 season.
Tierney said in the interview with Celtic TV after signing a new contract:
“Obviously I got a long-term deal last year and to have another one so soon is great for my family and me. It’s still unbelievable for me.”
