Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the signing of Arsenal target Alexander Isak.

The Bundesliga club completed the signing of the highly rated forward ahead of top clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid. The German side had to part with a huge £8.6m to sign the player.

But, Squawka via the Daily Star are claiming the striker would have been playing for Arsenal for less had Wenger took up the opportunity to sign him last year.

The report claims Arsenal were keeping tabs on the forward long before he broke into the scene and we were offered the opportunity to sign the player for just €30,000 last year but Wenger snubbed the chance to sign the lad.

Isak went on to make a name for himself after Arsenal’s snub scoring 10 goals in 24 Swedish league games.

Wenger’s decision to snub a big talent like Isak is surprising especially as the French man already has a reputation for spotting and signing talented youngsters over the years.

I know in life, you don’t win all but Isak’s case is different because he was offered to us and all we just needed to do was to make a decision.

Should Isak go on to become a great player, he could join the long list of top stars Wenger has already missed out on.
