Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud believes that the signing of Mohamed Elneny from Basel coupled with the return from injury of former Manchester United striker, Danny Welbeck would be enough to fire the Gunners to their first Premier League crown since 2004.
The Gunners are currently 2 points clear of Leicester City in the league table despite having a number of first team players out injured in majority of the season so far.
Theo Walcott has been off and on of the team while players like Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta, Danny Welbeck are suffering long term injuries. Santi Carzola, Alexis Sanchez and Francis Coquelin also have joined the treatment table but yet the Gunners are still leading the park in this season’s premier League table, thanks to a large extent to the creativity of German super star Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners would be welcoming Danny Welbeck back soon and Giroud believes that with the £7.3 Million capture of Elneny (subject to work permit), the Gunners are good to go as several other players would still join the fold.
Giroud believes the current crop of players at Wenger’s disposal could see them cross the finish line as champions come the end of season and the team doesn’t need too many January signing as they have young players waiting to come in and prove they can cope with the pressure.
