Arsenal are interested in the services of Portuguese defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira who currently plays for Porto.
It is understood that the English clubs sent their scouts to witness the match between Porto and Portimonense in Portugal, claims the Sun.
During the match, it took Danilo just 5 minutes to score an opener for Porto after connecting well with a corner kick.
Danilo Pereira made his senior international debut on 31 March 2015, after coming on to replace fellow debutant Bernardo Silva in a friendly match which ends in their defeat against Cape Verde.
After his debut match, he has since been ever present in the Portuguese squad, he already has 27 caps for Portugal. He was an integral part of the Portugal squad that won the 2016 edition of the UEFA European Championship.
He will be one of the first names in Portugal’s World Cup squad list barring any form of injury or ban.
Arsene Wenger wants to boost his back line having conceded lots of goals this season, and he is looking at Danilo’s direction.
Porto are at the summit of the Primeira Liga having won 11 matches and drawn just one from the 12 matches they’ve played so far this season.
Apart from shielding his defenders, Danilo also scores goals, he often appears in opponents’ 18-yard box when his team is with the ball. He has scored 12 goals for Porto since his move from Marítimo
PSG also have interest in the player, as January transfer window draws nearer, Manchester United, PSG and Arsenal must be ready to splash huge cash on the player.
According to transfermarkt, he is valued at 20,00 Mill. €.
