There is so much currently going on with Arsenal and Arsene Wenger at the moment – the uncertainty of regarding the future of some of the Gunners key players is unsettling the squad.

However, France international and Arsenal striker Oliver Giroud has revealed that he is happy with life at Arsenal despite being left on the fringes more often than not, this is according to report.

Giroud joined Arsenal in the summer of 2012 from French side Montpellier in a £13million deal and he has earned over 200 appearances in all competitions since then.

Since last term, he has seen his game time reduced. Alexis Sanchez was used as a makeshift striker for the most part of last season while the signing of Alexandre Lacazette this term has seen him remained low in the selection pecking order.

Giroud was linked with a move to a host of Premier league clubs including West Ham United, Everton and Marseille but he opted to stay put at the Emirates.

Speaking to the Telegraph, Giroud claimed he does not regret his decision to stay back at Arsenal.

“I am not questioning myself about my future,” Giroud told the Telegraph. I am happy at Arsenal and I am fine with the decision to stay because I want to.

“I am thinking that the story between the club and myself was not over and not finished. We will see what happens but I am happy at Arsenal for the moment.”

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are currently dubbed contract rebels because they have refused to extend their contracts. The aforementioned stars have been linked with a move away from Arsenal and the departure of Sanchez may pave way for Giroud.

Meanwhile, Giroud further pledged his allegiance to Arsenal.

“Arsene’s always supporting me and there is a lot of trust in each other,” Giroud added.

“He trusts in me and I try to give it back on the pitch when I can.”

He is valued at 27,00 Mill. €.
