Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has officially confirmed the signing of Mohammed El Nenny, according to Sky Sport.
The Gunners were initially expected to announce the player’s capture midweek but now it seems the announcement would have to wait before weekend’s fixture against Stoke City for any announcement to be made.
The Gunners have agreed to a fee of £7.4 Million for the Egyptian international midfielder and the player has additionally completed his medical with the club.
The Gunners faced a similar scenario on the Gonzalo Higuain move from Real Madrid to the Emirates. It was looking like Arsenal would complete a deal for the Argentine for several weeks before he reportedly made the switch to Naples to join Napoli.
