Barcelona are lining up a summer bid to sign Hector Bellerin, according to a report in gunnersphere.com.

The Spanish giants are known admirers of Bellerin and tried to sign him last summer but Arsenal were unwilling to listen to offers.

With the summer transfer window fast approaching again, Barcelona have reportedly renewed their interest in the defender.

Reports claim they are prepared to go all out to sign the defender this time around and are preparing to launch a £35m bid when the transfer window opens.

It is understood  that Bellerin’s representatives held talks with Barcelona to discuss a potential switch and the Spanish giants have been encouraged by the outcome of the meeting.

They are of the belief that the Spaniard wants to return to the Camp Nou where he began his youth career and are confident of signing him this year.

This is surprising because it isn’t up to six months that the defender signed a new six-and-a-half year deal with Arsenal. If he weren’t happy here, he wouldn’t have committed his future to the club for that long.

Also Barcelona’s interest had been on before the renewal and if he wanted to return to Spain, he wouldn’t have decided to extend his stay here.

I don’t think there is any truth in this report. Spanish newspaper are fond of carrying fake stories especially when it concerns a top player being linked to their clubs.

Obviously, they are the driving force behind the Bellerin to Barcelona rumors.

Bellein has been an ever present figure in Arsenal’s squad this season and is expected to play a key role in our squad in the future. There is no way he’d be allowed to leave this summer.
