Seamus Coleman and John Stones overcame injuries to return to the Everton XI last week, though couldn’t prevent the Toffees from slipping to a 3-0 defeat against Manchester United.
The only other alteration by Roberto Martinez was in attack, as Aaron Lennon replaced Gerard Deulofeu on the right-wing. With Stones and Coleman back, Everton’s defence has a settled look to it, with Brendan Galloway set to continue at left-back ahead of Bryan Oviedo, at least until Leighton Baines returns from injury.
The Toffees boss may once again rotate on the flanks, with both Deulofeu and Arouna Kone pushing for recalls. Steven Naismith’s role looks under most threat after he was hauled off at the break against United.
Kevin Mirallas is also in contention after returning to the bench last week having served out a three-match ban. Leon Osman and Aiden McGeady add to the competition out wide, while Tom Cleverley and Steven Pienaar could return to the squad as they continue to build up their match fitness.
Tony Hibbert and Mo Besic remain sidelined through injury.
