Arsenal have been handed a massive boost in signing Monaco defender Djibril Sidibe this summer transfer window.

Previous reports covered by Oohtobeagooner.com claims the 24-year-old revealed back in October that he had turned down the Gunners following an offer from Arsene Wenger but it appears he is open to a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Sidibe, 24, has been suggested as a potential replacement for Hector Bellerin at Arsenal who has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer with previous reports from Goonersden believed the Spaniard had agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants.

The right-back is just 12 months into the five-year deal he signed with the Ligue 1 champions after joining from Lille last summer, but recently said he is open to a move to the Premier League. “there are certain offers you can’t turn down”

However, speaking to media from the French national team’s base outside Paris ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifier in Sweden, Sidibe said he will consider a move to either move to Arsenal or Tottenham.

“Firstly, I’m focused on France and then I’ll give myself some time to think about offers and all the factors running through my brain a year before the World Cup,” he said.

“Leaving for leaving’s sake doesn’t interest me. You’ve got to be happy at Monaco. We finished first, we have the Champions League and I know the coach perfectly. But there are certain offers you can’t turn down… but I’ll have the time to think about that afterwards.”
