Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly looking for an easy route out of Olympic Lyon next summer.
The Gunners were interested in signing the striker this summer but Olympic Lyon were unwilling to do business.
The Gunners had an opening bid of £29.5m rejected and subsequent attempts to open negotiations to sign the striker were also frustrated by the French club.
Olympic Lyon’s aim is now to tie the striker down on a new contract, after succeeding to keep him away from Arsenal. According to Le10Sport via Sport Witness, Lyon are trying to include a release clause in the striker’s contract but there are some disagreements over the clause.
According to the report, Lyon wants the release clause to be as high as possible but Lacazette doesn’t want a high release clause.
Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed in the summer that they won’t entertain any offer less than €70m and it is believed Lyon doesn’t want his release clause to be lower than that price.
Lacazette could be open to the idea of leaving the French league next summer and he knows a high release clause could make it difficult for him to leave next summer.
The striker has started the current campaign in fine form, scoring six league goals already this season.
