Arsenal have drawn up a shortlist of three star players to replace Alexis Sanchez if the Chilean leaves the Emirates this summer.

Sanchez contract expires at the end of next season and he is yet to sign a new deal with us. Reports are claiming he has decided to quit Arsenal at the end of the season after growing frustrated with our inability to challenge for the Premier League and the Champions League titles

However, Arsenal are not giving up and will try to hold on to the striker but The Daily Star say Arsenal are already preparing for the worst and have lined up a three man short list to replace the Chilean if he decides to leave.

The report claims Arsenal will try to sign either of Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus, FC Porto’s Andre Silva and Olympic Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette to replace Sanchez.

Arsenal are huge admirers of Reus, having been linked with the forward several times in the last two years, Alexandre Lacazette is also a long-time target of Arsenal and we reportedly saw a €35m bid rejected for the French man last summer. Andre Silva has attracted Arsenal with his fine form this season and our scouts have apparently watched him on several occasions this season.

Gooners will be hoping Arsenal don’t sign any of these stars as a replacement for Sanchez. The Chilean has single handedly won games for us this season and has become irreplaceable in our team. Instead we will welcome any of the trio to partner Sanchez as that way, we will further improve our squad.

We could be forced to sell Sanchez if he doesn’t sign a new deal so as to avoid losing him for nothing next year. I’m hoping he decides to extend his contract.
