Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are interested in signing Inter Milan duo Mauro Icardi and Marcelo Brozovic, according to the Metro.
The news was revealed by a very prominent agent Vincenzo Morabito who claimed the Gunners are seriously interested in the duo.
Arsenal’s interest in Marcelo Brozovic can be regarded as one of the worst kept secret in football at the moment as it is well known that the Gunners hold a concrete interest in the 23 years old.
Injuries to Santi Carzola and Francis Coquelin has forced the Gunners into the transfer market as they hope to strengthen their midfield position where they are light and the Gunners are interested in signing Brozovic.
Morabito claims Wenger wants to do all he can to win the premier league this term and thinks both Icardi and Brozovic will strengthen his squad ahead of the second half of the season.
When asked about the speculations linking Arsenal with a move for Icardi and Brozovic, he said: ‘Yes, especially the second. Maybe something will happen because Wenger feels that this may be the right year to win the Premier League.’
The Gunners are reportedly in search of a striker who would provide competition for Olivier Giroud. The Gunners have been linked with the likes of Odion Ighalo and according to Morabito they are still keeping tabs on Icardi.
