Mesut Ozil insists he is ‘comfortable’ in London as Arsenal continue to work on a new deal for the German playmaker.
The German playmaker added that he has changed a few things in his life since he joined Arsenal that has led to positive outcomes, perhaps hinting a stay at the Emirates.
The 28-year-old, who joined the Gunners in 2013, admitted last week that he wanted reassurances over Arsene Wenger’s future before penning a new contract.
Ozil has 18 months remaining on his current deal and is believed to also want a bumper pay rise to stay at Arsenal.
However, the creative midfielder has appeared to reiterate his desire to stay in north London and snub any interest that may come his way.
After being named the German Player of the Year for a fifth time, Ozil said: ‘I’ve simply arrived in the Premier League since last season.
‘I’ve remained injury-free for the most part and I feel very comfortable in London now as well.
‘I’ve changed a few things in my life this past year, for example my diet and my training.
‘That helps me to regenerate fast after games and it reduces the chance of getting injured.’
