Nigeria starlet Henry Onyekuru has revealed his desire to play for Arsenal in the future.

The youngster who is currently making waves in Belgium with Kas Eupens has backed himself to move to the Premier League someday.

Speaking in an interview with Het Nieuwsblad, the young winger mentioned Arsenal as his dream club, claiming he would love to play at the Emirates someday.

“I believe I have the level to one day play in the Champions League.

“I look at what happened to Wilfred Ndidi.

“We come from the same region in Nigeria and meet up regularly. His transfer to Leicester is an example for me.

“The Premier League is my dream league, although I would rather go to Arsenal, Onyekuru said, as quoted by the Daily Star.”

The player also stated Thierry Henry was his mentor when growing up and claims he tries to play like our record top scorer.

“With my friends, we watched the Premier League every weekend. I’m a huge Arsenal fan, Thierry Henry is my idol.

“Now I’m a professional footballer, I try to copy him as much as possible.

“I look back to the games I saw as a boy, but I also regularly watch videos on YouTube to see how he did certain things.”

Onyekuru will be hoping to attract Wenger’s attention with his performances and hope he makes the move to the Emirates like his compatriot Kelechi Nwakali who joined us last summer.

The young winger has scored 10 goals and provided six assists for Kas Eupens since joining this past summer which I think is a good record. He could become a top player and maybe fulfil his dream of becoming a Gunner if he continues to perform well.
