Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal transfer target, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has ruled out a move away from the Signal Iduna Park amidst rumour of a January move to the Emirates, according to the reports. It was rumoured that the Gunners placed a bid of £44.6 Million for the Gabonese international but the player is valued at around £60 Million which the Gunners would be unlikely to meet.
Aubameyang has earlier expressed his desire to play in the Spanish La Liga in the future but has no plans of leaving the Bundesliga side any time soon. The player was quoted as to saying ‘’Let me say this first: I am not going to Arsenal, he told ESPN FC’s Colin Udoh at the CAF award ceremony in Nigeria. Dortmund is my club and I am not leaving soon.’’
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has also said there are no plans for any more departures in the January window after Manchester United recalled Belgian youngster, Adnan Januzaj back to Old Trafford.
The Gunners would have to look for alternative option upfront after being linked with former Manchester United striker who currently ply his trade with German side Bayer Leverkusen and has shown good scoring form for the Bundesliga side.
The Gunners currently have Olivier Giroud as the only out-an-out striker being assisted by Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil upfront.
