Arsenal travel to Croatia to take on Dinamo Zagreb in Zagreb, in Wednesday night’s Champions’ League group stage opener.
Arsenal will go into the match with several of their players missing through injury as confirmed by the club’s official website.
Vice-captain Per Mertesacker has been excluded from the team to take on the Croatian champions after the German was involved in minor car crash on Monday.
Arsenal midfield maestro Tomas Rosicky has also been ruled out of the clash and until December after undergoing a surgery on his knee recently.
Danny Welbeck will equally be missing in action for the Gunners against the Croatian invincibles with a knee injury and Arsene Wenger stated that the striker “will be out for a period of months” after undergoing surgery.
Finally, Jack Wilshere, who at the start of the 2015/2016 campaign looked set for a wonderful season has been confirmed with an ankle injury, and would require surgery, which would keep him out until Christmas.
