Former England international Garth Crooks has named three players that will be crucial to Arsenal’s title chances this season.

The Gunners have started this season in impressive fashion securing 13 points from their first six games and many have begin to think this could be the year that the club will finally win the league title.

Crooks believes Arsenal have a chance to win the title and Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Santi Carzola will be crucial to its chances.

The trio were part of the team that defeated Chelsea 3 nil on Saturday evening. The team’s performance against the Blues would have removed any doubt from the mind of many that the club can challenge for the title and Crook suggests the club must keep the three players fit to challenge for the title this season.

“If Arsenal can manage to keep Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla on the field and at the same time, Arsenal must be in with a chance of winning the title,” he told BBC Sport.

Crook also claimed Alexis is the star player in the squad and must be kept fit and motivated.

“Sanchez is the most important member of the trio as far as I am concerned. Keep Sanchez fit and present him with sufficient goalscoring opportunities and the Chile international is very capable of bringing Arsenal the trophy that has eluded Arsene Wenger for some considerable time.”

Crook does have a point, the trio are the team’s star players and will play a crucial role in the club’s title race. However, it takes the whole squad to win the title, every member of the squad will have to make its own contribution if the club is to successfully challenge for the league title this season.
