Arsene Wenger may be set to hand a debut to Shkodran Mustafi for the visit of Southampton to the Emirates.
The German could replace Rob Holding in central defence, with Nacho Monreal also set to be fit having picked up a minor problem in the 3-1 win at Watford. Laurent Koscielny and Hector Bellerin should also start elsewhere in defence.
After a strong performance at Vicarage Road before the international break, Wenger is expected to keep faith in Granit Xhaka and Santi Cazorla in the double-pivot in the 4-2-3-1 formation, with the likes of Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny unlikely to earn a recall.
Olivier Giroud did build up his match fitness playing 128 minutes for France over the international break, so he could earn his first start of the season, with Alexis Sanchez possibly returning to the left wing. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may miss out, then, with Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott perhaps taking the other two attacking midfield slots.
Lucas Perez appears more likely to make his Gunners debut off the bench. Alex Iwobi has returned to training following a thigh injury and is available.
Per Mertesacker, Gabriel, Carl Jenkinson, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck all remain sidelined.
