Everton are weighing up a shock move for Jack Wilshere, according to reports.
Wilshere who is currently on loan at Bournemouth at the end of the season is being linked with a permanent move away from the Emirates. The midfielder is already into the Penultimate year of his contract and will return to the Emirates with just one year left in his contract.
The club is yet to offer him a new contract and his situation has attracted the likes of Manchester City and AC Milan.
But according to the Daily Mirror via Daily Express, Everton have joined the race to sign the midfielder.
Ronald Koeman is a big fan of Wilshere and former Arsenal chief who is now the majority share holder at Everton is prepared to back his manager with the necessary funds to sign the midfielder.
Wenger has revealed his intentions is to extend the players contract but with the futures of Ozil and Sanchez taking priority, it has been difficult to open talks with Wilshere.
Wilshere’s loan move was intended to afford him regular football to build his fitness and it appears he is enjoying the benefit of being on the pitch regularly. He is loved by majority of the Gooners fan base and many including myself don’t want him to leave the club.
Arsenal will have to fend off interests from interested clubs like Everton and also convince the midfielder to sign an extension to his current deal which expires in 2018.
