Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Manchester City youngster Jandon Sancho, according to reports.
Arsenal have been trying to sign Sancho all summer and it was thought that we were closing in on the youngster, after City left him out of their pre-season tour but there has been no positive development since then.
Instead, Manchester Evening News via the Express are now claiming Man Utd have joined the race to sign the youngster.
The report claims Mourinho’s men are pushing hard to sign the talented winger from their neighbors.
Although, Arsenal still remain favorites to sign the talented winger, the prospect of remaining in Manchester may appeal to him.
Sancho recently rejected a new deal worth £30,000 per week from Man City because he wants a clearer pathway to the first team and that should give Arsenal hope in his chase, despite Man Utd’s interest, because Wenger has proven to be better working with youngsters than Mourinho.
Tottenham have also been linked with the 17 year old who is being tipped to become a future England star.
It will only cost any club successful in convincing him to join, then a compensation fee since he hasn’t signed a professional contract with City yet.
