Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has revealed the teammate that welcomed him well since making the switch last summer from Olympique Lyonnais.
Lacazette, joined Arsenal on a club record fee of £48m and has been sensational since making the switch by scoring six goals in his first 12 Premier League games since his arrival.
“When I arrived at Arsenal, I was a bit apprehensive as to what his reaction would be, but he welcomed me really, really well. I can only thank him as he’s helped me in everyday life, and I’m happy,” he said to Telefoot.
Lacazette also admitted he can improve upon his start in England. The French international believes he has developed at Arsenal in the months he’s been there, but isn’t resting on his laurels.
“I’ve not been too bad. It’s encouraging for the future. It’s a change from the French league. I think I’ve developed the most in my overall game, and physically in duels where I need to be more present than when I was in Ligue 1.”
He’s yet to be deployed in the Europa League for Arsenal, with Wenger ringing the changes for the cup competitions this season, but supporters are convinced Lacazette could be the player to fire the side to the top-four.
