Arsenal target Massimiliano Allegri will not close the door to moving to the Emirates according to Tribal Football.
We were made to believe that Allegri is one of the managers top of Arsenal’s wish list to replace Arsene Wenger whose contract expires at the end of this season.
Although the Juventus manager has publicly revealed that he is happy where he is, Sport Italia claims the Italian knows his job at Juventus isn’t for life and is open to the idea of changing clubs.
Allegri has been superb since joining Juventus in 2014, leading the Old Ladies to the Champions League final in his first season which they narrowly lost to Barcelona and has won two consecutive league titles.
One would think he has everything working for him where he is and would love to stay there but the report reckons he could walk away even though they win the league title again this term.
The manager is being tipped to make the move to the Premier League from Juventus after he revealed he has been learning English for a long time and the Emirates is seen as his likeliest destination.
While Allegri is a top manager who would be a good successor to Wenger, it is unlikely that the Italian would get the Arsenal job this summer.
We covered a report last week which claimed Wenger could sign a new two year contract in March and that will end every possibility of Allegri moving here if he steps down at Juventus at the end of this season.
Although nothing is sure at the moment but should there be a slight chance that we will sign Allegri, do you think Arsenal should still give Wenger a new deal and instead of going all out for Allegri?
I think at Wenger’s age, he would be here for at most two years before he retires and considering Arsenal are one of the few clubs that offers managerial stability, I wouldn’t like us to miss a top manager like Allegri who can be here for the next decade or more.
