With the 2015/2016 season well underway and the January transfer window drawing ever close, clubs and players alike have started making plans for the winter transfer window.
According to Dutch football media outlet Soccer News, Manchester United are preparing a mega bid of €40million to prize Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu away from the Bundesliga in January.
The report claims that United are set to battle Arsenal and AC Milan for the signature of the 21-year-old star.
The Red Devils were closely linked with the Turkish international according to Beyaz Tv during the summer transfer window.
Calhanoglu is regarded as being one of the best set-piece specialist around and has been praised by Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola who said:
”Calhanoglu is one of the best free-kick takers in the Bundesliga”
The former Hamburg star scored the highest number of free-kicks in the top five leagues in Europe last season and has been heavily linked with Arsenal.
The Turkish International has scored five goals and assisted one in 11 appearances for Leverkusen this season.
