Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are determined to keep hold of experienced French defender Mathieu Debuchy and that determinations seem to be paying off as AS Roma are reportedly seeking alternative target for the French man.
Roma were keen on Debuchy but are now turning their attention to two other alternatives, they are Schalke 04’s right full back Sead Kolasinac and Serie A side Genoa’s right full back Armando Izzo in the January transfer window . Roma signed former Chelsea left back; Ashley Cole but it looks like the former England international could be exiting the Roma based club in the summer.
Debuchy remains Roma’s first priority signing but they face competition from Ligue 1 side and the Gunners were reportedly ready to keep hold of the experienced defender and have slammed a staggering £8.8 Million on the 30 year old to fend off interest for the player’s signature.
The former Newcastle United defender is frustrated over a lack of playing time due to the form of Hector Bellarin who he happened to be deputising for the French man but has made that position his for the taking. It is yet to be seen if Debuchy would still be forcing a move away from the Emirates in the January transfer market, as Roma and Lyon are keenly interested.
