Antonio Conte is set to hold talks with Kylian Mbappe as Chelsea prepare to submit an offer to Monaco, according to reports in France.
Le10 Sport claim that the Premier League champions have already made contact with the 18-year-old and Conte will speak with the Monaco forward after France’s friendly against England on June 13.
Real Madrid and Arsenal are also in the race for Mbappe and reports in Spain claim that Zinedine Zidane’s side are ready to blow the Gunners out of the water with a bid in excess of £100 million.
But Chelsea are planning an offer of their own and are ready to capitalise on Monaco’s interest in Michy Batshuayi.
The Premier League leaders are willing to use the Belgium international, who has failed to make an impact after his £33m arrival from Marseille last summer, as part of the deal for Mbappe.
Last month, Conte indicated that Chelsea would be interested in signing the France international after praising the striker’s impressive rise at Monaco this season.
‘I don’t like to speak about players from other teams but in this case I think it’s normal to tell that he’s a really good prospect,’ he told SFR Sport.
‘He’s a prospect who’s very important for football.
‘For sure, he’s very young and he’s [got] a lot of room to improve.
‘He has great characteristics to become a top [player].’
