Arsenal travel to the Riverside Stadium on Monday night to take on a Middlesbrough side under caretaker manager Steve Agnew after the sack of Aitor Karanka.

Following the disgraceful 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, Arsene Wenger is expected to make key changes for the trip to Middlesbrough.

With the Gunners left stranded in 7th position following Victories to Manchester City and Everton on Saturday, Wenger and his men will be desperate and have been backed by FootballPredictions.com to take all three points against a relegation struggling Boro side at the Riverside stadium on Monday.

Second choice goalie David Ospina and forward Lucas Perez remain out for the clash against struggling Middlesbrough with a back and thigh injury respectively, but Petr Cech and captain Laurent Koscielny could return following their absence with calf and Achilles injury respectively, with Wenger rating their chances of featuring at 80%.

In Defence, Koscielny may return alongside Shkodran Mustafa in central defence then, with Gabriel, Per Mertesacker and Rob Holding the alternative options. right back Hector Bellerin should keep his place despite the youngster struggling with form in recent days.

In Midfield, Swiss star Granit Xhaka and Egyptian star Mohamed Elneny combined at the base of midfield against Palace, but Francis Coquelin, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey provide viable alternatives.

Upfront, the boss may decide to restore Alexis Sanchez to the central striker role, with Alex Iwobi perhaps set to push for a recall on the left wing having been omitted from the squad on Monday; which means Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck being left on the bench.

Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott could keep their places elsewhere in the advanced midfield positions.

Arsenal may have been backed to cruise to a comfortable victory against Boro, however, watching the Gunners horrendous show against the Eagles on Monday night may just give Steve Agnew’s men the needed confidence to stage an upset against Arsene Wenger’s side and you can find more of such Arsenal Premier League predictions here https://footballpredictions.com/footballpredictions/premierleaguepredictions/
