Arsenal are hoping to complete their second summer signing as quickly as possible, according to reports.

The Gunners are working hard to sign a striker this summer and have been linked with a number of them. Top of the Gunners wish list appears to be Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.

The Real Madrid striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with the Emirates touted as his potential destination.

According to Sky Sports via Squawka, Arsenal want to sign Morata as quickly as possible.

The Gunners face competition from Manchester United and Chelsea for the striker’s services but Arsenal are keen to sign the striker ahead of its rivals.

Arsenal Legend and youth team coach Thierry Henry who keeps a close relationship with Arsene Wenger recently declared his love for the striker claiming he loves the 23 year old desire to score goals.

“Alvaro Morata reminds me of Torres,” Henry told BBC Sport before Spain’s 2-0 defeat Italy. “He doesn’t want to do a lot in terms of dropping, coming into play but he just wants to go in behind.

“He doesn’t want to come short, he wants to score goals. That’s what I love about him.”

The striker impressed for Spain in the Euro 2016 competition scoring three goals for La Roja in the group stages.
