Arsenal reported new signing Henry Onyekuru has revealed that he is ready to make the step up to the Premier League.
Following his fine form this season, which has seen him score 25 goals in 41 games, Arsenal, Southampton and West Brom are all interested in the striker.
However, it is the Gunners who are leading the race for his services. We are believed to be in almost completed negotiations with Onyekuru’s club KAS Eupen over the transfer of the forward.
And now it appears personal terms will not be a problem if Arsenal can strike an agreement with his club.
Onyekuru has always spoken highly of the Gunners and Henry being his idol as a young boy could now follow the footsteps of the club great.
In a recent interview, the striker said he hasn’t made a decision on where he’ll be playing next season but dropped a huge hint that he may move to Arsenal, stating he is ready to play in the Premier League.
“Everything is possible. Anderlecht, Club Brugge, England… I still haven’t decided,” he told reporters in Belgium .
“I have had fun in Belgium, but I have always dreamed of the Premier League.”
Obviously, the striker trusts in his ability and if it were not so, he wouldn’t have been confident enough to perform the way he did this term. That’s the sort of character we need at the Emirates, where young players believe they can make meaningful contributions to our team, regardless of their age.
