A report from the Metro claims Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Nabil Fekir as the midfielder has an agreement to leave Lyon.
The 24-year-old has been in sublime form for Lyon this season with 22 goals and eight assists in 37 appearances so far.
Arsenal have sent scouts to monitor Fekir’s progress this season and reports have claimed that the Gunners are preparing to make a move this summer.
According to L’Equipe, Fekir has a secret agreement in place with Lyon which allows him to leave the French club this summer. The report claims that Lyon will sell Fekir, even if they secure a place in next season’s Champions League.
Fekir, who is reportedly valued at £50 million, has already admitted that he would welcome the chance to join the Premier League.
When asked about his favourite leagues, Fekir told Telefoot earlier this season: ‘Spain, with Real [Madrid], Barcelona & Atletico [Madrid] who are the big clubs. ‘After that there is England: Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal. I don’t have a specific club [I want to go to].
