Arsenal have kicked off their transfer business by signing Sead Kolasnic from Schalke 04 on a free transfer.

The Express reports Port Adelaide fitness master Darren Burgess will leave the Power at the end of the month to return to the English Premier League

Burgess will command Arsenal’s high-performance program for long-serving boss Arsene Wenger.

He has previously worked at Liverpool for two years to prepare teams for manager Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish and Brendan Rodgers.

Burgess was out of contract at the end of this season. He had previously worked at Port Adelaide from 2004-2007, leaving the program after the 2007 AFL grand final to return to soccer.

He worked the Socceroos program to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and then moved to Liverpool.

The 43-yearold is expected to retain some partnership programs with Port Adelaide while at Arsenal.
