Versatile Arsenal midfielder has rejoined  MVV Maastricht on a loan deal for the rest of the season, according Allnigeriasoccer.com.

The attacking midfielder will move out of Dutch side VVV Venlo due to lack of first-team action. The player has only featured in 480 minutes since the start of the season. He also revealed that Portuguese giants Porto are considering a loan move for the Gunners promising player.

While confirming the termination of the player’s deal with the Eredivisie club on their official website, Arsenal reported that the player is not happy with his current situation thereby his contract was immediately terminated and he is heading back to Maastricht where he will be till the end of the season.

Nwakali’s first loan spell at the Jupiler League side MVV Maastricht was largely successful as he played 35 matches, scoring three goals before he returned to his parent club Arsenal.

”Last season we have already seen that Kelechi is a multifunctional attacking midfielder, who has a nose for the ‘final pass’,” coach Ron Elsen told MVV’s official website.

”He returns in an attacking and dominant way of playing, as MVV wants to use it. He can get away at ’10’, but also as a winger.

”At VVV Venlo he has also shown at Eredivisie  that he can be of value for the team in which he plays. At MVV Maastricht, however, he can collect even more minutes of play.

”We know what we can and should expect from him. That has absolutely weighed in our decision to bring him back to Maastricht.”

Nwakali will hope to rediscover his best form so as to stand a chance of moving to a high profile club next season before he acquires a work permit to represent Arsenal senior team.

The Gunners are believed to be on the verge of securing the services of a proven goalscorers. Gunners fans will have to stay on the edge of transfer news.
