Alexis Sanchez will force a move away from Arsenal, according to reports.
The Chile international is being linked with a move away from the Emirates, after refusing to sign a contract extension.
Despite his reluctance to commit his future to the club, Arsenal are hoping to reopen talks with him when he returns from holiday.
Manchester City have been credited with the most interest in the forward but Arsenal have warned they won’t sell to a rival club. It’s been reported that Sanchez wants a reunion with Guardiola at the Etihad and wants Arsenal to sanction a move.
According to The Telegraph via The Express, Sanchez is growing increasingly concerned with Arsenal’s stand. He is concerned that Wenger could snub a bid from City and force him to see out the remainder of his contract.
And the report claims that could force him to act. He will then try to push through a move to the Etihad by threatening to leave for nothing next year.
Arsenal would not want to lose the Chilean for free next year when £50m can be gotten from a sale this summer but selling to a rival could have a serious devastating effect on our chances of winning the league title.
Sanchez who is currently on international duty with the Chile national team in the ongoing FIFA Confederations Cup in Chile recently refused to commit his future to Arsenal.
“When this is finished, I will see if I stay or go. I don’t know,” he said when asked about the possibility of staying at the Emirates.
Bayern Munich were interested in the striker but they have reportedly dropped their interest due to Sanchez’s excessive wage demands, leaving Man City as favorites for his signature.
For Gooners with a long memory, this is taking the path of Robin Van Persie to Manchester United saga. Remember the Dutchman systematically forced a move to Old Trafford in 2012, just like Sanchez appears to be doing.
