As reported by Metro, German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will attempt to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud after Bayern forward Robert Lewandowski workload complaint.
Robert Lewandowski is undoubtedly one of the Bundesliga club’s main players, but he has recently disclosed that he is not happy with the lack of depth issue which the club have up front, which could mean the striker is more likely to sustain injury.
The Polish striker said it will be a good option to sign a good and young striker who is ready to learn from an experienced player, he said it would be a relief for him to play 15 or 20 minutes less in a match, so as to have more strength for the next match and a probability of remaining fit and reducing injury risk.
The player whose name has come up as a major backup to Robert Lewandowski is Gunners Olivier Giroud, who is used to the backup at the Emirates club to Chilean international forward Alexis Sanchez last campaign and France international forward Alexandre Lacazette this campaign.
Although the FIFA Puskas award recipient may want to leave for regular first-team football, which the German Bundesliga side may not be able to offer the Frenchman, it will still be a good chance for the French striker, who will be winning titles and playing UEFA Champions League football at the Bundesliga club, which the Gunners can not offer him right now.
