Fenerbahce are lining up an audacious summer move for Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil, according to gunnersphere.com.

Ozil is being linked with a move away from the Emirates, following his decision to reject a new deal worth £280,000 a week from Arsenal.

Reports claim Ozil could leave the club, after being fed up with life at the Emirates and Fenerbahce are one of the clubs said to be interested in his services.

The Turkish giants want to sign a marquee player this summer as they prepare for the departure of Robin Van Persie and they see Ozil as an ideal target.

Ozil whose descendants are from Turkey has revealed in the past that he would love to play for Fenerbahce one day and this has reportedly made the Turkish giants confident of signing him.

Manchester United have also been linked with the midfielder, with Mourinho said to be keeping tabs on the 28 year old.

Arsenal don’t want to sell the playmaker but risk losing him for free next summer if he doesn’t sign a new contract.

With talks between Arsenal and Ozil set to resume in the summer, the Gunners will be hoping to convince the midfielder to extend his stay here.

The outcome of the summer talks will determine whether we’ll see the midfielder here next season or not.
