Alexis Sanchez will reportedly cost Manchester City £30million in the January transfer window as Arsenal boss digs his heels in over the wantaway Chilean.
The Chile international’s current contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season, with the Gunners do far unable to agree on a new deal with the 28-year-old winger, with the Premier League leaders strongly linked with the forward.
According to the Sun, a move to the City would see Sanchez reunited with his former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola and Arsenal will not do business for less than £30million when the January transfer window re-opens.
Sanchez would then have less than six months remaining on his current deal when the transfer window reopens in January, and Guardiola is reportedly only ready to offer £20million for the Chilean in New year.
This comes after Gunners majority shareholder Stan Kroenke revealed that the club are still pushing to agree on a new deal with Sanchez and fellow contract rebel Mesut Ozil.
“We want to attract top players, keep top players,” he said. “Those guys (Sanchez and Ozil) are top players.”
Alexis Sanchez joined Arsenal in summer of 2014 from Barcelona for a reported £32m transfer fee. He has played in 152 games so far and scored 75 goals for the club. The Chile international won the three FA Cups with the Gunners.
