Arsenal travel to Villa Park this weekend to take on an in-form Aston Villa side.

Arsenal are going into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat at the hands of German outfit Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League Group Stage opener in Germany on Tuesday night.

And although Jurgen Klopp’s men might have broken Arsenal’s unbeaten streak that spans back to April, one of the Gunner’s most in-form star and Player of the 2013/2014 season – Aaron Ramsey has revealed that he hopes to replicate the heroics of last season that saw him rack-up 16 goals in all competitions, including the winner in the FA Cup final.

“I made my debut when I was 16 so I’ve been playing for a number of years and been learning my trade if you like,” Ramsey told the Arsenal Magazine.

“I think I’ve always been quite mature for my age. I moved here when I was 17 and had to grow up pretty quickly.”

The 23-year-old who is in his 7th year at Arsenal after making the switch from Cardiff City back in 2008 feels he is ready for more responsibility and challenges at Arsenal after becoming a fan favourite following his recent streak of goalscoring and assists prowess.

“Now I feel like I am as mature as I can be. I’ve got a lot more responsibility and I’ve become used to that and it feels good. I just want to improve on last season and try to become the best player I can possibly be.

The Welshman also revealed his desire to score more goals for the Gunners, relishing the FA Cup winning goal that came off his very own boot.

“It was nice [to score the winner in the FA Cup final] but hopefully I can have more than that – hopefully it’s not the only thing I achieve.

“I’m confident I can improve and have many more of those wonderful moments. I’m really excited with the way things are developing and about what the future holds.”

Ramsey who have in the last couple of games been unusually very quiet and was even substituted along side Mesut Ozil in the Gunners midweek defeat against BVB will be looking to once again impress for the Gunners against Aston Villa at Villa Park in the weekend.

Should Ramsey be given a place in the Arsenal starting line-up this weekend or should the boss deploy Santi Carzola or Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain instead?
