Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his side in the January transfer window for the second half of the 2015/2016 season.
Arsenal are very close to signing Nigerian captain at the just concluded FIFA Under-17 World Cup; Kelechi Nwakali, according to reports.
Nwakali won the most valuable player in the Tournament hosted in Chile and has since been tracked by several top clubs across Europe.
A source claims that the player’s travel documents to England is being processed and a party of seven – including Nwakali’s legal guardians are expected this month in London to finalise the player’s transfer to Arsenal.
Nwakali was reported to have gone on trial at the Etihad Stadium last year; where his elder brother currently plies his trade in England. He told Nigerian outlet MTNFootball sometimes ago that. ‘’He would love to play for Arsenal; they are the premier league club I will like to play for because they play the best football in the world. Nwakali’s agent; Klay Ekeocha said: We’ve been in touch with Arsenal and now a deal seem to be on the cards.
The transfer of the player is being handled now by Stellar group, who manage Welsh winger Gareth Bale.
