Arsenal have identified it’s first target for the winter transfer window, according to reports.

Fresh from a fairly successful summer transfer window, Arsenal are already planning for the future and are rumored to be keeping tabs on a number of targets. Most of the players that have been linked with the Gunners in recent weeks have been more of talented youngsters.

This is not surprising as Wenger has always stressed the need to put the club in a strong position for the future and it appears we are already taking huge steps to achieve that.

According to the Daily Mirror via the Daily Star, Arsenal are planning a move for highly rated Hull City youngster Josh Tymon in January.

Tymon is a 17 year old who plays as a left back and is seen as one of Hull’s most promising youngsters. Gunners scouts have been monitoring him for sometime and reports claim we have been impressed with the his showings.

Tymon has not yet signed a professional contract with Hull City and Wenger is ready to snap him up. We will have to pay a compensation fee to Hull City if we manage to convince the defender to move to North London and the report claims we are ready to meet Hull’s compensation demands.

However, we will face competition from Everton who have also been keeping tabs on the young defender.

Hull City do not want to lose the highly rated youngster and has started to entice him with first team football. He was included in Hull’s starting xi in the EFL cup game on Tuesday and he is in line to make his Premier League debut this weekend.

However, the player could still be attracted by the prospect of playing for a bigger club if we make a bid. Though he would be further away from the first team if he joins us but he will develop better by training alongside quality players at the Emirates.
