Juventus have made an official bid to sign Alexis Sanchez, according to reports in Italy.
The Italian giants have been monitoring Sanchez’s situation at Arsenal since last season and have now made an official bid to sign him after seeing their approach frustrated last summer.
They were seriously interested in Sanchez last summer but Arsenal told them that the Chilean wasn’t for sale at any price.
Sanchez contract expires at the end of next season and Arsenal remain locked in talks with the Chilean to extend his deal but reports claim that he is demanding a sizeable pay rise to sign a new deal.
In a bid to take advantage of the Chilean’s uncertain future, Corriere Dello Sport via The Mirror claim Juventus have lodged a £25.7m to sign the striker.
The Italian champions are desperate to sign the striker ahead of other big clubs who are also interested in his services and have now made the first move for the player.
Juventus’ £25m bid is expected to be turned down because it is unlikely that such figure will tempt Arsenal into selling its prize asset. The Gunners priority remains to tie Sanchez to a new contract and except all avenues to convince him to stay is exhausted, we will not consider selling him.
Even if we were to sell him, the Juve bid will be regarded as a joke. Despite having just little over a year left in his current deal, Sanchez is way worth more than what the Italian giants are offering.
We will definitely get more money from other clubs like PSG who have also been credited with interest in the forward.
Arsenal won’t consider any bid until the player (who has scored 21 goals and provided 18 assists this season) officially decides that he doesn’t want to stay here anymore.
