Arsenal have declared that Alexis Sanchez is ‘non-transferable’ in response to Manchester City’s interest but the Gunners will soften their stance if two conditions are met, according to reports in Spain via the Express.
On Wednesday, it was claimed that City had won the race to sign the Chile international, who will be joining Pep Guardiola’s side ‘in the coming days’.
Arsene Wenger has remained adamant that Sanchez will not be sold this summer, but Marca claim that the Arsenal manager will rethink the scenario if two requirements are met.
The first is that Sanchez will need to personally force through the move while the second depends on Wenger’s ability to sign a player of similar quality.
Riyad Mahrez is one of the frontrunners to replace Sanchez but Arsenal are not willing to meet Leicester City’s £50 million asking price.
Gooners, do you think Wenger should sell Alexis under those two conditions? Also, is Mahrez a suitable replacement for Alexis or should Wenger look for other better targets?
