Arsenal first choice right-back Mathieu Debuchy has emerged as a summer transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain.
This report is according to Metro, who claim the French money-bags have made the Arsenal man a summer transfer target despite the player making only 10 Premier League appearances for the Gunners since his arrival in the summer of 2014 from Newcastle for £12 million.
According to the reports, Debuchy is on a shortlist of candidates to replace Gregory van der Wiel who is set for a move to Manchester United at the end of the season.
This would come as a surprise to Arsenal fans, which are yet to really enjoy the services of their 29-year-old first choice right back, as the Frenchman has since been sidelined after being shoved into an advertising hoarding at the Emirates against Stoke City that left him with a dislocated shoulder.
The Frenchman has since been away, but hardly missed at the right-back as he was replaced by the hugely impressive Spanish youngster Hector Bellerin.
Arsenal on the other hand can afford to let Debuchy go the other way for the right fee. As the club have back-ups such as Bellerin, Calum Chambers and the soon to return from loan Carl Jenkinson – which in my own opinion, have all performed well so far this season.
