In what would seem as a huge surprise move to Arsenal fans should it go through, Manchester United has been offered a come and get him plea from Besiktas President for Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to Metro.
The club President has stated that the player will only leave the Turkish giants if a club like Manchester United come for his signature.
Ozyakup is a product of the Gunners academy, but left the Emirates back in 2012 after failing to make an impact in North London before making the move to Turkey. However, he has become an integral part of the Besiktas set up for three-and-half years now, turning up with impressive performances and catching the attentions of various clubs across Europe.
According to reports; the Red Devils got wind of Ozyakup when United sent scouts to watch former Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez but their attention was caught by Ozyakup who was the star of the show on the day.
The player was linked to United afterwards but he denied any such rumours but it is now understood that the player will be keen on a move after reports have it that he feels that he cannot grow as a player in Turkey.
Besiktas club president, Fikret Orman has identified Manchester United as one of the few clubs that the Turkish giants could allow Ozyakup to join. The 23-year-old has 5 goals in 15 appearances so far this term so far with 5 assists to his credit, something no United player has been able to achieve this season.
