Arsenal are not interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to respected Spanish football Journalist Guillem Balague.
Isco has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates in the past but a switch never happened.
With the playmaker’s future at the Bernabeu in doubt again, Arsenal are being linked with the Spaniard once more.
It’s being claimed we are one of the Premier League clubs that have been put on high alert by his situation at Madrid.
However, Ballague who works with Sky Sports has now labeled those reports as false. He claimed via his Twitter handle that Arsenal have never been interested in the Spaniard and will not join the race to sign him if Madrid decides to sell.
“My understanding is that Arsenal do not want Isco. They didn’t want him before and they don’t want him now,” he tweeted.
Isco has struggled to break into Madrid’s first team since he joined them in 2013 but he has managed to show he is a very talented footballer.
It’s surprising that Arsenal won’t join the long queue of clubs that will be scrambling for his signature if he decides to leave the Bernabeu this summer.
We are short of world class players in our team and the opportunity to sign Isco would have been a perfect chance to add one more world class player to our squad.
I’ll like to assume Arsenal have better options than Isco lined up because we obviously need to bring in more world class players.
