Conflicting reports are currently surrounding Arsenal’s proposed pursuit of Thomas Tuchel ahead of the summer.
On Saturday evening, it was claimed that the former Borussia Dortmund manager had turned down the chance to take over from Jupp Heynckes at Bayern Munich at the end of the season. It was then stated that this was due to Tuchel being keen on a move to Arsenal, with the intention of replacing Arsene Wenger.
However, according to a report from Sky Sports today, this does not appear to be the case. It’s claimed that Tuchel is indeed keen on taking the reins at the Allianz Arena. The report also states that the promising tactician would favour a move to Chelsea over Arsenal.
Tuchel has been out of work since his dismissal from Dortmund midway through last season and it seems he has his sights set on Bayern.
It’ll be interesting to see how Tuchel’s future unfolds, with a whole host of clubs seemingly vying to appoint him when the summer comes around.
