Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid youngster Marcos Llorente.
The Madrid youth academy product is currently on loan at Alaves where he has been in fine form.
Prior to his move to Alaves, Llorente,21, had made just two appearances for Madrid’s first team but Wenger is keen to sign the youngster as he believes he has the potential to play for a top club.
Arsenal are no stranger to signing young players from the La Liga, having signed Hector Bellerin, Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida from Spain at tender ages in the past and Wenger is now desperate for Llorente to follow the path of the aforementioned players.
According to Arsenal-maniac.com, Wenger is determined to bring the midfielder to the Emirates at all cost and will pay “any price” to get his man.
The midfielder is already proving to be one of the best among his peers but as we all know that doesn’t guarantee him a place in Madrid’s first team.
Although, the report suggests Zidane is keeping a close watch on the midfielder and could be reluctant to sell him as he thinks he can be a member of his first team in the future.
We have already built a reputation of developing youngsters over the years and that could convince the midfielder to join us as we would definitely offer him a quicker route to first team football.
Hector Bellerin who is a perfect example of a player who joined us from Spain at a tender age has developed into a key man in our first team and hopefully Llorente will be a success like the defender if he joins us.
