Arsenal are set to miss out on the services of Paris Saint Germain star Marco Verratti, according to reports.

Wenger who is a big fan of the Italian midfielder has been keeping tabs on him for a long time and recently, reports emerged that the boss has been alerted by his current situation in Paris.

Verratti’s future at PSG was thown into doubt recently after he fell out with his boss Unai Emery. It is believed he is now open to a move away from the French club and we have been mentioned as one of the clubs that will make a move for the Italian.

Inter Milan, Juventus and Chelsea are other clubs that have reportedly been alerted by his current situation in Paris and are also chasing him.

According to Tuttosport via Talksport, Arsenal will suffer a huge blow in its attempt to lure the midfielder who they feel will be a direct replacement for Santi Cazorla to the Emirates.

The report claims sources close to the player has informed them that he would prefer a move back to the Serie A if he leaves PSG and will specifically like to join Juventus.

Juve are believed to be keen on the former Pescara midfielder, after selling Paul Pogba to Manchester United in the summer and could make a bid for him as early as January.
