According to reports from the Daily star, Arsenal will return back for France international Thomas Lemar.

The report further claimed the Gunners are confident of signing the Monaco star in January when the winter transfer window opens.

The 21-year-old, who has seven international caps for his country, has provided two assists in five outings for the defending Ligue 1 champions this season.

Lemar scored 19 goals and registered 24 assists in 94 appearances in all competitions overall for Monaco.

Despite failing to land the France forward on Deadline Day last Thursday, the report suggests The Gunners have already agreed a deal in principle for Lemar – offering the left winger a five year contract worth around £250,000-a-week at the Emirates.

The deal could setback Arsenal a whopping £92m, which would be a club-record deal, surpassing the £52.6m The Gunners may have to splash out for striker Alexandre Lacazette overall, including add-ons.
