Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that Mousa Dembele (groin) may be ready to return for the crucial north London derby, with the Belgian set to be assessed today in their final training session.

Given the importance of the fixture, Pochettino may well take a risk on Dembele, along with Dele Alli, who looks fairly certain to come back into the starting XI after playing 30 minutes as a substitute against West Ham despite picking up a minor foot injury in the warm-up before the match against Swansea.

If Dembele fails to recover in time, Ryan Mason or Tom Carroll will likely start in the double-pivot. Eric Dier and Christian Eriksen look sure starters elsewhere in midfield, with the final spot on the right of the attacking midfield trio in the 4-2-3-1 formation a battle between Heung-Min Son, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli.

Harry Kane will lead the line as usual. First-choice full-backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose should come back into the team after being rested in midweek, with Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer continuing in central defence. Jan Vertonghen and Clinton N’Jie remain sidelined.

Defense? Our defenders need to stay 101% focus and do not allow any of their Arse players to get into any shooting position or free header inside the penalty area especially when we are defending set pieces. We definitely need to improve a lot on that. Our link up play from our 2 CDMs to our 2 CBs must work hand in hand in order to contain their attack. I hope Dembele is fit to start this game because he is our anchor man in midfield and he needs to give full support to Wimmer in defense. I thought the line up above was wrong as Wimmer should be on the left (LCB) and Alderweireld on the right (RCB). BE CAUTION that the opposing teams not just ARSE are aiming at attacking down on our left towards Wimmer because he is still new to the PL game and he is inexperience playing in his first NLB. IMO, I think the responsibility will go to Rose in helping his fellow CB if he is under pressure. COYS, to DARE is to DO! It’s this season that we have the chance to do it, so grab it while we can. All you have to do is ‘FOCUS’, ‘FIGHT’, ‘NEVER GIVE UP and ‘NEVER SAY DIE’ will come out on top of this NLD game. BEST of LUCK, guys!
