Arsenal are ready to make a move for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to Tribal Football.

The Gunners are somewhat in a mini midfield crisis following injuries to Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin as well the departure of Mohammed Elneny to the African Cup of Nations.

Wenger is now left with only Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka as his only fit centre midfielder options and The Express claim the French man is interested in signing N’Zonzi to bolster that position.

The former Stoke City man has been impressive for Sevilla this season and have alerted a lot of top clubs with his performances.

The report claims we will have to act fast if we want to get our man with Chelsea and Manchester City seriously interested in the midfielder

Pep Guardiola who lost Gundogan to a serious injury has reportedly opened talks with Sevilla over signing the midfielder.

Antonio Conte is also keen to sign a centre midfielder and has been keeping tabs on N’Zonzi.

Wenger has so far remained adamant that he is not interested in signing a new player this winter but it would be interesting to see if he will be forced to sign a midfielder now that injuries have taken its toll on the squad .

This will be a hard decision to make because if Wenger gets to sign N’Zonzi, we could become overloaded in midfield when everyone is back and fit but should anything happen to any of Ramsey or Xhaka now, our title race could be derailed. It’s really a tough one indeed.
